WEEKEND TRIP - MILO'S CELLAR & INN
How did I end up celebrating my Birthday? I had so many different ideas but just could not commit to any of them! Luckily my girlfriends Brooke and Kaylan just sort of made a plan to take me to dinner and then we caught a wild hair and went to Stoney's! It was so much fun! Pregnant who!?
My Husband took me to dinner at Benihanas in Fashion Show Mall. I LOVE habachi! Dinner and a show right! It was so good except after we smelled just like the food so once we got home I showered and washed our clothes because I was on the verge of vomiting! #PreggoProbs It was still worth it though!
Next... my Husband and I have been talking about doing a stay-cation in Boulder City, Nevada which is about 40 minutes from where we live in Las Vegas. He mentioned this cute inn, Milos Cellar & Inn and said they just have a few rooms and anytime he'd check the availability it was sold out. Finally they were available for December 2nd so he booked three rooms and invited some friends. Done deal!
I have never stayed at an Inn so I really had no idea what to expect. I had been in the cellar before; it's a restaurant/bar and then you take a short 13 stairs up in the back and you are welcomed by a hidden little gem! IT IS SO CUTE! Water trickles down into the pond where the coy fish swim, there's plenty of seating room for four rooms, a bbq grill, microwave, mini refrigerator and my favorite a fire pit!
The four rooms are fittingly named Chianti, Beaujolais, Tuscany and Bordeaux. We stayed in Beaujoulais and it was perfect! The rooms have 1 queen bed, keurig, tv, fire place, bathroom and either big jetted bath tub or a spacious shower.
We walked around town, had lunch and visited some of the antique shops. There was a Christmas parade happening so we watched some of that and then headed back to Milo's for dinner. We had the special which was short rib with mashed potatoes and vegetables - so good!! After everyone finished their wine (BOO for me!) we went upstairs and listened to classic country music around the fire pit and made s'mores. I know it sounds like a movie scene but it was so relaxing being around the fire just hanging out, you could even see stars in the sky! There are only about 4 you can see from Las Vegas!
When we woke in the morning they had breakfast (8am - 10am) set up so nicely right outside our door for us. On the counter across the way they had coffee, juices and water ready. After we ate our parfait and raspberry loaves (SO SO GOOD!!) they brought up sausages and eggs. It was more than any of us expected! The presentation felt so personal and sweet because there are only four rooms so you feel extra special!
We relaxed a little in the room before leaving, I think checkout is technically 11am. Paulette was so nice and helped us with anything we needed. She is also the person you can contact to book the rooms. You don't have to do a minimum of rooms, we just wanted more so we could hog it up haha. Next time we go we are going to rent all four so stay tuned!
Melanie and I were saying how nice it would be to do for a girls getaway or even glamping! You have to check it out especially if you're a local, it's just a different vibe in Boulder City. Nice to get away and stay somewhere new too!
All in all it was a very nice Birthday! Turns out all you need are people who love you and know how to celebrate you! Here's to 31!!
Let me know if you have any questions or know if any cute little inn's like this! I would love to see! Thanks for reading!
